Jay Boekeloo, MS, CFP®

Founder & Lead Advisor

Jay Boekeloo is the Founder & Lead Advisor of High Note Financial LLC, where he helps clients use financial planning as a tool to pursue more intentional and fulfilling lives.

Jay believes the best planning doesn’t begin with numbers, but rather with understanding what a meaningful life looks like for each individual or family. Using High Note Financial’s 6-STEPP Framework™, he combines expertise in financial planning, behavioral coaching, and principles of financial therapy to help clients build wealth intentionally—creating the freedom and confidence to pursue the lives they genuinely value.

Before entering financial planning, Jay worked as a professional studio musician and songwriter. It was in the music industry that he learned the importance of listening deeply and finding unique ways to help others tell their stories. Those qualities have shaped his approach to advising and led clients to describe him as empathetic, creative, and calming, with a gift for translating complex financial concepts into clear, actionable guidance.

A multi-business owner himself, Jay and his wife, Kelsey, also own Serenity Veterinary Care, a mobile veterinary practice serving Southwest Washington.

When not helping clients live life on a High Note™, Jay can usually be found playing baseball with his wife and son, Conlan, training in martial arts, writing and recording music, or taking spontaneous weekend trips to explore a new state or country.
